The Dismal Science?

My column this morning on Baseball Prospectus is actually a review of the book The Baseball Economist: The Real Game Exposed by J.C. Bradbury. Like many others I've enjoyed Bradbury's commentary on his site Sabernomics.

In short, I recommend the book and really appreciated both the wide range of sabermetric studies but more so how they're couched in economic concepts. That chapters on performance enhancing substances and baseball's monopoly power are especially strong.
