Since most folks don't have access to a Pocket PC I created a desktop version of the Big League Pocket Manager simply called Big League Manager. You can download it here. Simply double-click the .msi file to install. This first version has the same functionality as the PPC version but I'm looking for ways to expand it - for example by offering multiple hitter profiles based on lineup position perhaps.
Keep in mind that this is a quick and dirty first version so if you find problems feel free to contact me.

Had some problems with the installation of the .msi file. Installation asks for me to download .NET
Any suggestions? Please email me at xeifrank@yahoo.com
Tried to email you directly but some problem with your email account / email gets kicked back.

Dan, this looks awesome. However, I do have an issue with using the Phil Birnbaum data for this kind of thing. There are problems with using that data, because the sample sizes are too small in some of the situations, plus the run environment was different during that time period.
If you want, you can download a spreadsheet I created that computes WPA on the fly, using many of Tango's and Keith Woolner's formulas. It uses theoretical WPA instead of empirical, so it doesn't have any sample size issues, plus you can change the WPA based on the run environment (important for Coors Field). It's basically an Excel-based version of your app.
You can download the spreadsheet from ftp.baseballgraphs.com/wpa
If you don't have the .NET Framework v1.1 on your machine you need to download it at:

I didn't include it in the install since many computers have had it installed through the Windows Update process
Hey Dan, was wondering if you had seen my article on this idea (http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/story/2005/11/8/225921/879). I was also considering expanding the number and depth of outcomes (e.g., accounting for the strength of upcoming hitters a lineup). Is this something you are planning to do?
