India Fights Back

India has gone on the offensive in terms of outsourcing. While the Indian official quoted in the article blames the US and Europe not allowing enough Indians to immigrate to the west for the growth of outsourcing, he's dead wrong. The reduced cost of labor is driving it. Bringing Indians here does nothing for the cost reduction efforts of US businesses.

I do agree that we have an aging population and so eventually a level of outsourcing will likely be required. Right now, however, that is not the problem and India is trying to reduce the backlash that might result.
