Harball Times

I'm pleased to report that my first article, Pythagoras and the White Sox, has been published on The Hardball Times. Thanks to Dave Studeman and Aaron Gleeman for inviting me to submit my strugglings...

I'm sure somebody has probably asked you this already, but why did you decide to determine how current actual record and pyth. record predict final record/final win%, as opposed to "record in remaining games/w% in remaining games." This would seem to allow you to better analyse whether actual record or pyth record is a better predictor of future performance.

Also, I believe Baseball Prospectus did a very similar study recently, a month or two ago. You might want to check that out.
